Swiss Novel Food consultation process
A client was challenged by the Swiss authorities as some of the ingredients in their products risked to classify as Novel Food. A legal dispute was also part of the process.
Due to the short response period, an exclusive task force was implemented. Our support for each impacted ingredient comprised:
- Developing a comprehensive dossier
- Engaging directly with contract manufacturers (CMOs), suppliers, and lawyers
- Researching and compiling evidence related to the ingredient's classification status and safety
Today we continue to support the process, as further questions have been raised by the Swiss authorities.
